Meet Hana Page, Clover Park High Graduate

Page, 18, has earned more than $1.2 million in scholarships as she sets off to become a biomedical researcher with hopes of finding a cure for cancer.

Whiz Kid's accomplishment:
Hana, a 2011 Honor Graduate, is off to the University of Pennsylvania in the fall on a full-ride scholarship worth $58,000 – but that isn’t all. In total, she earned more than $1.2 million in scholarships. Among them were the Ron Brown Scholarship, Gates Millennium Scholarship and QuestBridge National College Scholarship. Hana finished high school with an associate’s degree she earned as a full-time Running Start student at .

Whiz Kid's key to awesomeness: Hana, who plans to study bioengineering and become a biomedical engineer, has a lofty career goal: curing cancer. Her hope is to work on cancer-related research to improve treatments and cures for the disease. But she isn’t all work and no play. During her time at , she was captain of the Knowledge Bowl, a member of MESA and Phi Theta Kappa and on the varsity golf team. She also was a tutor and mentor for the Tacoma Korean-American Association and at Oakwood Elementary School.
