Christmas Decor Gives Deserving Military Family a Holiday of a Lifetime

This holiday season will have special meaning for the Shim Family of JBLM as they received the gift of a decorated home yesterday, December 9, 2013. Agatha Shim nominated her family for the Decorated Family Program, a national program that was created by Christmas Decor to thank our country's soldiers for their dedication and support by surprising them and decorating their family's homes free of charge. 

Christmas Decor by Whitworth Pest Solutions selected the Shim Family because the family has sacrificed so much, especially the kids, who hardly get to spend time with their father. Agatha's husband has served three tough deployments to Afghanistan on a combat unit fighting on front line and countless training exercises all over the world. This year they hardly saw him again -- off to school for 5 months then came home for two weeks and now, off to Korea for a year tour. This once again means that they likely will not have him home for Christmas. The decorating would be a wonderful gift for the girls, knowing that people care especially during the holidays. Her kids go through so much not having their father home, but knowing what his job requires of him, they are proud military kids who take pride in his job and our country. Christmas Decor was able to brighten holiday spirits in the Shim Family home!
