Deck Your House and Win $100,000 for Local Schools

Like having the house on the block with the best holiday decorations? This year creating a winter wonderland could result in your earning $100,000 for local schools.

Starting Dec. 8, enter Patch's Deck the House Contest for a chance to win $100,000 for your local public school system, $500 toward your electric bill or bragging rights in your neighborhood.

The contest will run until Dec. 26 and users will vote for the best-decked house in their town. From there, Patch judges will select 24 finalists nationwide, who will get their December electric bill paid by Patch (up to $500).

The grand prize winner will receive a $100,000 donation to their local school system.

From Dec. 30 through Jan. 8 you will be able to vote for the Best Decked House in all of Patch. The grand prize winner’s school district will receive a $100,000 check from Patch.

So, get out your lights and ladders (and your competitive spirit)! Whether your style is sophisticated or silly, we want you to dress up your house in the name of good cheer and our kids. At the very least, Lakewood will be decked out like it’s never been before. And if we win, what better gift could we give to Lakewood kids?
