GOOD NEWS: Lost Dog From Steilacoom Reunited With Owners

The pooch was taken to Lakewood City Hall this week. After Patch and other outlets put out the word, the owners have contacted the city.

There's some good news for one four-legged wanderer in Lakewood.

On Tuesday, we told you about a and had been taken to Lakewood City Hall thinking there was a shelter.

Deborah Johnson, senior planner with the city, contacted us and The Suburban Times to see if we could get the word out. We did, both via our homepage and Facebook page (please "Like" if you haven't :).

Well, Johnson is reporting a happy ending today:

"Good news! Animal control reports that the owner has called in.  Thanks, all."

In light of some grim news our region has faced in recent days, it's good to hear about a happy ending, yeah?

Way to go Patch users.
