Why Go: Soccer players from 7 to 10 years of age can work on their fundamental soccer skills with drills and scrimmages as parents watch and cheer them on. All skill levels are welcome.

Price: $62.

When/Where: 10 a.m. to noon. Saturday at the Curious By Nature School.

Why Go: Those residing in the region can do a walk thru and see what this new pre-kindegarten academic institute is all about. It's an education that focuses on nature-based curriculum and outdoor exploration.

Price: Free.

Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday at Grand Cinema Theater.

Why Go: There is a showing of a family favorite move called "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs."

Price: Free.

Third Thursday Tacoma ArtWalk

When/Where: All day Thursday throughout Tacoma galleries, museums and boutiques.

Why Go: It's best to check the site for participating venues as there is so much to do throughout the city. The Art Bus can take you to visit several of the venues, while the museums have discounted admissions.

Price: Free.
