Participate: How Is Your Commute in Lakewood Today?

Tell us about your driving experience by commenting what roads are safe or dangerous.

Driving in snow is never a fun experience. There are icy hills, treacherous black ice and other road conditions that can make commuting dangerous.

With more snow expected throughout the day, Patch is encouraging its readers to comment on their experience on the roads. Tell us the areas you found to be treacherous and others that seemed safer.

And if you took a photo of the snow at your arrival or anywhere in Lakewood, upload it to the Patch photo gallery. Log in and click the button that says Upload Photos and Videos.

A University Place resident who works in Lakewood sent this to me: From home (University Place) to my work (about 4 miles to Lakewood), I only had trouble near the Wal-Mart up that slight incline. I fishtailed a little, but otherwise, I took it nice and slow. One person was going a bit TOO slow, and I was afraid I was going to stall, but I went around him and was okay after that. It looks like a lot of people opted not to come in to work, and I will be leaving early. Stay safe yourself!
