On behalf of everyone here at JBLM, I want to thank you for coming together Thursday afternoon to help another military family when we asked for your help. Our immediate concern was for the safety of the child who'd been found on base and that we locate his parents as quickly as possible. Your fast action in sharing the information we posted is the reason we were able to resolve the situation so soon after our initial post.
Issues involving children generate a lot of emotion, and we thank everyone for being respectful of the child & his family while we worked to find the parents and determine what had happened.

We've satisfactorily looked into the circumstances surrounding how the child found his way out of the home. Out of respect for the family's privacy, we will not be sharing any additional details. We ask that others refrain from speculating about the circumstances as well on our page.
I’m happy to share that the child and his family have been re-united, and that everyone is safe & sound. Thank you for looking out for each other. Joint Base Lewis-McChord is an incredible community, and I’m proud to be a part of it.”
