A group of Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldiers flew to the East Coast today to assist with relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

The soldiers - assigned to the 62nd Medical Brigade - are flying back to, among other things, help prevent the spread of disease, as many communities along the Eastern Seaboard still don't have power and water.
