BNSF Replacing Railroad Crossing at Steilacoom

The work is not expected to affect the 5:45 a.m. ferry run on Tuesday. However, if the run is canceled or delayed, a Rider Alert will be sent out.

Pierce County is rebuilding the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad crossing tonight in Steilacoom, and it should be rebuilt by Tuesday morning.

Tonight's work is scheduled at start at 8:30 p.m., and  is expected to be complete by 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. The crossing will be closed to traffic during the work.
