Win Tickets to the Puyallup Fair, 'Get Your Happy On!'

Patch is giving away dozens of tickets to the Puyallup Fair. Just sign up for a free email newsletter below for a chance to win.

We've heard the questions: What's been missing in my life these past few months? How can I put an exclamation point on my summer? And can that exclamation point include fried food on a stick?

Here at Patch, we have your answer. Better still, we'll give it to you for free.

Sign up for a Patch newsletter today and you will be entered to win one of dozens of free pairs of tickets to the Puyallup Fair, which runs Sept. 7-23. Even better, if you tell us why we should send your whole family, you'll get a chance to win the Patch Family Pack:

• four fair tickets (kids 5 and under are free, by the way)

• a Patch tote bag to hold those fair souvenirs

• assorted Patch goodies such as magnets, pens and balloons

• and a story and photo of you and your family on Lakewood Patch.

Here's how: Simply fill out the form for a chance to win a pair of tickets. If you want the family pack, write us a note in the comments section at the end of this story explaining in 200 words or less why Patch should send you and your family to the state's biggest fair.

Each Thursday for the next three weeks, through Sept. 13, we'll hand out one pair of tickets and one family pack to lucky winners from Lakewood. Winners will be notified by email.

See you at the Puyallup!

Here's the fine print (click on the attached PDF for complete official rules):

  • Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
  • To enter, sign up for the newsletter in the form above with your name, email and Patch town.
  • All entries must be received by Sept. 13, 2012, noon Pacific time.
  • You may enter as often as you want.

If you are new to this area, you might want to read The Fair website for good info about available discounts. http://www.thefair.com/puyallup-fair/deals_discounts/ ... http://www.thefair.com/puyallup-fair/visitor-info/ ... I have not seen anything yet about the private bus company routes/prices this year. I never fight the traffic @ The Fair and always take a sack lunch with water bottle.

Hi! My name is Tracie and I am writing for a chance to win a family pack of Pullyallup State Fair tickets. The reason I would love to win this is not just for the rides but the whole fair experience! I would love to visit some of the 4H exhibits with my children, see which new local vendors are participating (and support our local economy) and spend a day as a family "unplugged"! With school starting, the heavy schedules begin again and the fair is a great time to have that one last blast of fun!! I would be glad to share pictures of our Fair experience with the Patch readers as we appreciate having this event in our area!

Hi! This is Diana. I would like a chance to win the family pack because I think it will cheer my 6 year old son up. On Aug. 23rd I had to have surgery, which I am still recovering from. This has made him very upset, to see me in the hospital, and at home recovering. He has also been very bored, stuck at home.

Pick us, pick us! We'd love to "Do the Puyallup. My husband has been out of work since June and I've been working all summer long, it'd be a great opportunity to take our kiddo to the fair. We haven't been able to go the last few years. My 7 year old son just started 2nd grade and has been talking about going to the fair all summer. We absolutely love everything about the fair. It's a trigger that Summer is coming to a close, but still an opportunity to enjoy all there is to offer in our neck of the woods. Animals, exhibits, art, entertainment, rides, games...I'm sure I could go on, we all know we can expect a great time at the fair. Thanks for considering our family! And thanks for the PATCH. I love to know what's going on in our community and have found some great info here. Thanks again, Melissa F.

My stepdad works his butt off to make sure we are secure, my mother is always there to comfort us. If I win the tickets they would go to my family who needs to take care of themselves for a day. <3
