WTB Soldiers Revitalize Tillicum By Volunteering For Habitat For Humanity

Wounded, injured and ill soldiers with JBLM's Warrior Transition Battalion helped build homes in Lakewood this week.

Soldiers from JBLM's Warrior Transition Battalion are building houses in the Tillicum neighborhood with Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity.

The partnership between WTB and Habitat is five years old, said Sue Potter of HFH, which is in the process of building 30 houses in Tillicum. The soldiers have a variety of medical needs. About 15 percent were wounded in combat.

See what some of them were working on, and hear about their experiences.
