Author Event: Jayne Ann Krentz - Lakewood Library

Meet New York Times bestselling author Jayne Ann Krentz at Lakewood Pierce County Library. Krentz will give a writing workshop and sign books.

Krentz’s newest book in the Dark Legacy series—“Copper Beach”—is scheduled to be released Jan. 10, 2012, and it will be available at the event. A bookseller will be onsite to sell books.

At the Jan. 14 event, Krentz will present her popular fiction writing workshop Five Secrets to Getting Published. Then, she will talk with participants and answer questions, followed by a book signing.  

The author of 50 New York Times bestsellers, Jayne Ann Krentz writes under three different pen names. As Jayne Ann Krentz (her married name) she writes contemporary romantic suspense. She uses Amanda Quick for her novels of historical romantic suspense. Jayne Castle (her birth name) is reserved for her stories of futuristic/paranormal romantic suspense.  

Krentz recently published, writing as Jayne Castle, Book Three of the Looking Glass Trilogy—“Canyons of Night”—and, as Amanda Quick, Book Two of the Looking Glass Trilogy—“Quicksilver.”  

Each year at the Romance Writers of America convention, Krentz participates in a day-long workshop and speaks on the importance of the romance genre.  

Krentz earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California at Santa Cruz and a master’s in library science from San Jose State University. Before she began writing full time she worked as a librarian in both academic and corporate libraries. She lives with her husband in Seattle, Wash.
