Pierce County Sings!

Here's a fun, and meaningful, opportunity to be a part of the larger community that emphasizes community, which is what we here in our community are all about - Community Matters!

The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (GTCF), as part of our "Be the Spark!" (http://www.agreatertacoma.org/index.php/spark/) movement focused on bringing greater awareness to issues of community, hope, and nonviolence, is producing a professional music video to be shot on Sunday, November 7, 2010, 1:30 p.m. at Stadium High School Bowl, 111 N. 'E' St., Tacoma.

The video will include artists and musical groups from all over Pierce County singing "If You're Out There" by John Legend. The GRCF will premier this video to 15,000+ people, including keynote speaker Archbishop Desmond Tutu, on May 13, 20 11 at the Tacoma Dome.

The GTCF wants to showcase the diversity of Pierce County by filling Stadium Bowl on Nov.7 with as many groups and families as possible and film them "singing" the chorus:

If you're out there, sing along with me

if you're out there, I'm dying to believe

that you're out there, stand up and say it loud

if you're out there, tomorrow's starting now

if you're out there, if you're out there, if you're out there
