Live Music with The Mick Hart Band

Mick began playing guitar and playing in church in 1965 while in the 5th grade. After high school, Mick began playing lounges, brew pubs, and college coffee houses, covering artists James Taylor, John Denver, Cat Stevens, Hank Williams Sr., and many others. While in college during the mid 70's, Mick played with bands covering many of the rock and roll icons of the era. The band, The Hightops was formed in 1988 and played until 2002 when they disbanded. Although not together any longer, they've reunited several times to do select shows in the Seattle area. Influences include, James Taylor, Muddy Waters, Miles Davis, Elvis, The Beatles, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, SRV, and Southern Gospel. Mick's band, "The Mick Hart Band" plays through all his musical influences including Blues, Jazz, and Country Rock. The EP "Ride With Me" was released in August, 2009 on 406records, featuring musicians in Colorado: Paul Hart/Lead Guitar & Vocals, Tami Hart/Vocals Connecticut: Willie Dornfeld/Drums, Montana, and Washington: Stephen Hart/Mandolin, Mick Hart/Guitar & Vocals & Bass. New music is currently being written for the next album to be released in 2011. Mick has a love for Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters, especially the old old ones. Band members, Mick Hart on guitar and vocals, Frank Wilson on guitar and vocals, John Godfrey on drums, Ken VanCamp on the bass guitar, and Steve Mazepa on the keys, harp and vocals make up the ensemble that rocks the house.
