From QFC to Quiznos, what do you wish was still in town?

In the last couple of months, we have talked a lot about what should go here and there in vacant buildings in Lakewood – and what we would like to see in town.

It seems that residents wouldn’t exactly complain about the addition of a , or a fabric store, a bigger Lakewood Library, , the return of or – my personal favorite – a .

But what about the businesses that used to house those buildings? Those once integral to Lakewood that are now long gone – or closed as recently as last year? Like Gottschalks and Mervyn’s, or QFC and Larry’s Market – or even Costco, which once upon a time was on Pacific Highway.
