MultiCare Lakewood Clinic and Urgent Care to expand at new site

MultiCare Lakewood Clinic and Urgent Care is growing to better serve the needs of the Lakewood, Wash. community. On Monday, Dec. 16, MultiCare Lakewood Clinic Family Practice and Urgent Care will open in a new location at 5700 100th St. S.W., Suite 510, Lakewood.

The new space is 12,000 square feet and will employ 34 people when it opens. Seven new employees will be added soon. The seven new jobs will include two providers and two nursing staff members in primary care, and one provider and two nursing staff members in Occupational Medicine.

“The layout of the facility is going to be much better for patient care,” said Judy Jones, supervisor of the MultiCare Lakewood Clinic and Urgent Care. “It’s exciting that we have room to bring on additional providers, because I think that’s really needed for this area. The additional space will allow us to increase the size of our Urgent Care, as well as expand our services to include the Occupational Medicine. The staff is excited about the move and being able to add some of our own ideas about how to make the space work better for patients.”

The MultiCare Lakewood Clinic includes Occupational Medicine services, including work injury care, physicals and screenings, drug and alcohol testing, immunizations, and workers compensation claims. MultiCare’s history started in Lakewood in 1998 with a primary-care physician. That practice grew to become the MultiCare Family Practice Clinic and Urgent Care.
