First I must offer my sincere apologies for my absence.  In case anyone thought I had retreated from the barrage of criticism.  I had not.  I had some personal business to address and then had difficulties signing in when the Patch changed their site.  But I think we’re up and running again!  I’ve missed writing, and I thank the Patch for the opportunity to do so.

In my absence, many things have been happening in our country.  In case your head has been more interested in what Justin Bieber is doing or who won the CMT Award, allow me to remind you of the real world and how your freedoms are being taken away – just since April 13, 2013, my last post.  Here are the top ten, off the top of my head, egregious violations of freedoms (and in parentheses the violation of law or restriction of freedom for each):

·         April  –  Boston Marathon Terrorist Attack; turns out terrorists were identified by other foreign governments and our government was warned; our government actually funded their existence through welfare (Offering aid and comfort to the enemy, lack of enforcing of immigration laws)

·         May – DoJ obtaining phone records of AP journalists (Freedom of the Press)

·         May – DoJ investigating Fox New Reporter and his family for investigating whistleblowers in the government (Freedom of the Press)

·         June  –  Utah Data Center (NSA) became operational; collects data from Internet, telephony from all citizens to monitor activity (Freedom from unreasonable search and seizure)

·         June  –  IRS scandal regarding wasteful spending for travel and conferences (Misappropriations of funds; further indebtedness and economic slavery of citizens through debt)

·         June  –  IRS deliberate targeting of Conservative groups denying or delaying indefinitely 501C3/4 tax status (Discriminatory practices; using of Government as political weapon)

·         June – IRS committed felony by releasing tax documents from a Conservative group to their political opponents (Illegal disclosure of private tax information)

·         June – The EPA has been giving out farmer's private information to left wing extremist environmental groups  (Prohibited disclosure of private information)

·         June – Soldier told not to read Conservative books  while in uniform (Freedom of Speech)

·         June – Verizon phone records seized by US Government; could be other carriers as well, but Verizon seizure was leaked (Freedom from unreasonable search and seizure)

(Notice this list doesn’t include things like Benghazi, Fast and Furious, Extortion 17, violations of the 2nd Amendment, and other equally egregious, illegal, or treasonous acts because they were done and/or reported about previous to April.)

Pretty scary, right?  I think so.  America has most certainly been “fundamentally transformed” into something I no longer recognize.  This is evil tyranny.  And the scariest part is they have only begun.  Unless we as citizens stand up and demand them to stop, prosecute and punish the law breakers, and reestablish civil order and the rule of law and especially the Bill of Rights, we are all doomed.

Since starting to write on the Patch, I’ve been called lots of names, and that’s okay.  You don’t have to like me or even agree with my beliefs.  I’m a Christian, but I’ve never said you have to be.   I’m also a Constitutional Conservative politically, but you don’t have to be.  You could be an atheist, Buddhist, Sihk, Muslim, black, brown, gay, straight, an environmental activist or an Occupy something demonstrator.  It’s your choice.  And I will support your rights to those choices as long as you aren’t breaking the laws or denying anyone else their rights.  But you should care that this government is breaking its own laws – repeatedly.  Because if they can oppress me and people like me, they can oppress you too.   And when I’m gone, you’re next.
