CONGRATULATIONS TO DANCE THEATRE NORTHWEST JR DANCE ENSEMBLE MEMBERS

Auditions were recently held at DANCE THEATRE NORTHWEST for the DTNW Junior Dance Ensemble, a select group of young dancers participating in a specialized training opportunity that includes classes, workshops, and performing opportunities. These talented members perform with Regional Company Members and guests artists in community outreach programs such as “Arts Are Education” and “Art inspires Art”  where Dance Theatre Northwest presents in collaboration with area arts organizations, schools, retirement facilities and in formal concerts.

The five adjudicators whose experience ranges from professional dancer to school counselor and arts commissioner officiated an audition that consisted of ballet barre, center, Pointe work and performance of solo variations. The expected outcome of the project is to educate, inspire, motivate, enrich, and instill hope through dance and music. We will reach a diverse population as part of our mission through the performing arts and through a formal and community theatrical training and experience. We have a committed staff and volunteer network that works hard to make sure we meet our goals of accessibility, and diversity while maintaining our artistic integrity and quality in our programming.

Congratulations to all of the DTNW Jr Members (in order pictured): Philandra Eargle, Gregory Peloquin, Rosie Ahrens, Maddie Ewer, Olivia Stephen-Jordan, Joan Fort, Solana Sartain, Maggie Brewer, Lauren Trodahl, Amelia Arial, Faith Mullin,  Oceana Thunder, and Allison Zakharov.
