UPDATE: Lakewood's Lost Pups Are Going Home

Washington State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill Tweeted that the two puppies' owner picked them up at the Pierce County Humane Society.

WSP Trooper Guy Gill just Tweeted the following:

"Great news!! The dogs owner has contacted the humane society to claim them. They're in great health and excited to go home."

The two puppies that were discovered Thursday on the Interstate 5 ramps in Lakewood are still haven't been claimed by their owners.

Washington State Patrol spokesman Trooper Guy Gill posted on WSP's Twitter page that they had been discovered near Bridgeport Way Southwest.

A few hours later, he Tweeted that the puppies were in custody of Lakewood Animal Control, then the Humane Society of Tacoma-Pierce County.

According to the Humane Society , that staff thinks is about a year old.

The other dog is a female, brown and white Shih Tzu mix that shelter staff thinks is about 2 years old.
