Free Whooping Cough Vaccination Clinics Scheduled This Week

The free clinics are open to uninsured and underinsured adults.

The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department willl be holding two more free immunization clinics for local uninsured and underinsured adults.

  • Wednesday, May 23, from 5-7 p.m. at the Health Department
  • Saturday, June 2, from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Health Department

The Health Department is located at 3269 South D St. in Tacoma.

To date in 2012, there have been 206 confirmed cases of whooping cough (pertussis) in Pierce County residents. In 2011 there were 128 cases the entire year, and in 2010 there were 84 cases. This number only includes confirmed cases and not those that have been reported and are currently being investigated.
