JBLM Suffers Another Death in Afghanistan
Sgt. Joseph Lilly died this week, his family reports.
Another Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier has died in Afghanistan this week, The News Tribune reports.
Sgt. Joseph Lilly, 25, of Flint, Mich., was deployed to southern Afghanistan with the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, according to the newspaper. Lilly's family reports that he died Thursday from injuries sustained after stepping on an improvised explosive on Tuesday.
His death follows that of Spc. Trevor Pinnick, 22, , according to his father.
