25 and Under? Volunteering? Let the Lakewood Youth Council know.

Lakewood Youth Council needs data on young volunteers.

The Lakewood Youth Council is tracking volunteer hours performed by young people (yes - 25 is still young),  from October 2012 to October 2013. To track/reward service hours, they are using the President's Volunteer Service Award.

They need to be able to give the City Council monthly data on how many youth are volunteering  and how many hours are being performed.

If you are 25 or under, live, work, or go to school in Lakewood,  and volunteer, please go to http://lakewoodspromise.us/track-your-hours to register as a volunteer and log your hours from October to now. These hours can be anything you do, unpaid, that help others and the community. Each month then, the youth council can gather the needed data.

In October, 2013, those achieving enough hours for an award will be recognized at City Hall during a special awards celebration.

Thank you for all you do to make Lakewood a great place.
