Clover Park Kiwanis Welcomes another New Member

The Clover Park Kiwanis club recently welcomed, yet, another new member. On February 18th, the club inducted Rachel Adler.

Rachel was raised in Lakewood, and attended Tyee Park Elementary, Lochburn Middle School, and Clover Park High School. After high school, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Minor in Women’s Studies from Central Washington University. She currently works as West Pierce Fire and Rescue’s Grant Coordinator for their Smoke Alarm Program, offering free smoke alarms to residents of Lakewood and University Place.

Kiwanis would love to see even more new members just like Rachel. We at Kiwanis, focus our efforts on youth and community. We meet every Tuesday at the Ram, but this is not the extent of our work. We are always involved in local fundraisers and projects, geared towards servicing Lakewood’s children. You will even see our members working away in the concession’s booth at Harry E. Lang Stadium during every local high school sports game.

We would like to see you at our next meeting. We are always looking for individuals who want to serve. Lakewood’s youth and community are always in need of help. Come down to the Ram Restaurant at 10019 59th Ave SW, Lakewood any Tuesday from 12:00-1:00 PM and see what Kiwanis is all about. Lunch is provided for first-timers.

For membership details email me, Paul Candler, at pcandler@cityoflakewood.us

We’ll see you on Tuesday.
