Facebook User Claims Black Star Espresso Closing, Possibly Replaced By Bikini Barista Stand

Patch Facebook user Maria Glaccio says a bikini barista stand in the Oakbrook neighborhood would turn a family friendly community into a place she would avoid.

(Patch user Maria Glaccio posted the following on Lakewood-JBLM Patch's Facebook page. We are looking into this story and will provide more information as it becomes available)

I wanted to post an event that will be happening in the lovely suburb of Oakbrook in the next two weeks that is VERY disturbing to the community.

Our wonderful Black Star Espresso stand situated in the parking lot of O'Reilly's, Jack in the Box, across from Albertsons is CLOSING. What is even worse, the owner that is buying out ALL of these stands in Lakewood, Puyallup, Tacoma owns a line of bikini barista stands and is now going to turn all of the Black Stars into this disgusting and degrading business. He even has the coffee customers pay a fee monthly to have live web cams of the bikini baristas "making coffee".

The current Black Star owners did not give their loyal and wonderful employees any notice and is leaving them high and dry. This new business will turn a family friendly (near my toddler's school, nursing home, park and other schools) community into a place where I avoid driving by so my children do not see the half-naked women hanging outside the windows "selling coffee."

I hope the loyal customers that have frequented Black Star will decide that self-respect and honor are better for our community than degradation and nudity.
