Clover Park Kiwanis Presents Charter for K-Kids at Lakewood Boys & Girls Club
The newly formed K-Kids Club in Lakewood was presented with a charter from Clover Park Kiwanis last week. The local K-Kids Club (Kiwanis Kids Club) is established at the Lakewood Boys & Girls Club.
With over 36,000 children members, K-Kids learn leadership through service. The kids are taking on the responsibility of running a K-Kids club as they plan and participate in community service projects, such as assisting the elderly, organizing food drives, and raising funds for their schools and after-school programs. The Lakewood K-Kids Club has already held a book drive and they plan to have a team at the Lakewood Relay for Life event at the end of May.
K-Kids is an international student-led organization providing members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and develop leadership. The Clover Park Kiwanis group is proud to welcome the local Lakewood branch as a Kiwanis affiliate.
