PIERCE COUNTY, WA -- Detectives from the Washington State Patrol Missing and Exploited Children’s Task Force (MECTF) have made an arrest involving allegations of Child Pornography, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and Extortion.

MCTEF detectives initiated the investigation in late April after being alerted by a concerned parent of one of the girls involved. The investigation positively identified eight underage victims all in the Pierce County area.

Detectives learned Monday morning that the suspect had returned from an overseas deployment. David Michael Ford, 24, of Macon, Georgia and currently stationed at Joint Base Lewis McCord (JBLM) was taken into custody this afternoon and booked into the Pierce County Jail on charges of (1) Possession of Depictions of a Minor Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct, (2) Communication With A Minor for Immoral Purposes, (3) Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, and (4) Extortion.

The investigation involved interviewing dozens of victims and witnesses. The allegations involved female victims ranging in ages from 15 to 17 years old.  While most the allegations involved online activities, the investigation revealed there were two instances where Ford met in person with his victims.  The investigation revealed Ford would use money, gifts, and ultimately “fear tactics” to extort illegal images and video from his victims.

Evidence obtained from Ford’s computer showed dozens of images of other potential victims that have yet to be identified.  The WSP continues to encourage anyone believing they may have been victims of Ford to contact MECTF detectives at 360-704-2400.

Any normal guy would love to have sex with a 15 year old girl if shes built well or pictures of her nakes of course. The law will NEVER stop so call child pornography

A 15 year old girl is still a child. 'Normal' guys would respect that, and let her grow up. Child pornography will exist as long as there are sickos who view it. What the law can't stop, common decency should.

So are you saying you are a normal guy and would love to have sex and naked pics of a 15 yr old girl. You are a sick SOB if I say so myself.

What it is is that we notice. Yes I admit it, we notice these girls who suddenly are women. The difference is what we do from there. A glance is one thing, leering another. Any action whatsoever towards anything......changes everything. As Omar posted, a normal guy knows regardless of her attractiveness she's still a child. It's really a shame a law is needed to produce that effect, but it is.

How old did the young women say they were? Look When I was 15 I was 5'7" 44 31 42 and I and my two girl friends who look as mature as I did use to "date" air force soldiers who were 21 to 26 years old. It was the "thing" we did. No a one of them ever assumed we were teens. Sooooooooo How old did the young women present themselves as????

Patricia, your problem is that you 'lied' obviously. Not all girls have the poor morals that you had.

Don't ask don't tell ?..... How's that working now ?....
Jami September 12, 2012 at 08:17 PM
No, normal guys wouldn't. If YOU do, you are not normal.
Patricia Hedtke September 12, 2012 at 08:43 PM
Right, I lied. Many 15 year olds lie to get older guys to be intersted in them. To over look that is to make assumptions about reality that are not true. Why did these "moral" girls not tell their parents? Would that "non-telling" not also class as a lie? My point, and one that has to be taken into consideration is that some 15 year olds do not look 15. They do not present themselves as 15. They lie. And they get themselves deep into situations that are over their heads. But to say they are blameless...............or to totally paint the young army guy as a lurking pedofile is probably not the complete picture.
