Authorities Identify Lakewood Man Shot To Death Over Parking Spot At Apartment Complex

The Pierce County Medical Examiners Office has identified the man as Lazaro Valle-Matos, 36. He was pronounced dead at an area hospital after he and another group of people got into an argument Saturday night at a Lakewood apartment complex.

Authorities have identified a man who died from a gunshot wound after reportedly getting into an argument over a parking spot Sunday night at a Lakewood apartment complex.

The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office told Patch that it identified the man as Lazaro Valle-Matos of Lakewood, 36.

According to multiple reports, Valle-Matos was shot after getting into an argument over a parking spot at the complex on 47th Avenue Southwest.

KOMO reported that investigators are still trying to determine exactly what sparked the shooting, but Lakewood police say it may have been the result of a long-running dispute or a fight over a parking space.
