Authorities Looking For Driver Who Caused I-5 Crash, Sent Motorcyclists To Hospital

The Washington State Patrol says the drive fled from the crash, which occurred on northbound I-5 near 72nd Avenue.

The Washington State Patrol is looking for a driver who caused a collision on Interstate 5 that sent two motorcyclists to the hospital Saturday night.

According to authorities, a car described as a similar to a silver Honda Accord was travelling on northbound I-5 near 72nd Avenue around 10 p.m. Two motorcyclists were travelling in the same direction.

The car struck one of the motorcycles, which then struck the other motorcycle. The driver of the car then fled, WSP says.

The two motorcyclists - John Wondra of Kent, 25, and Christopher Hammer of Tacoma, 30 - were both taken to St. Joseph Medical Center. Both were wearing helmets.
