The event - which organizers are calling "Raise The Roof For Ray Alonso" - takes place from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Feb. 15 at the Asia Pacific Cultural Center near Lakewood. You can also donate online.

The friends of the family that was injured in last week's crash at Queen's Closet are holding a Zumba fundraiser to help.

After we provided an update on the family, Patch user Tasha Williams told us about the event, which will take place 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Feb. 15 at the Asia Pacific Cultural Center, 4851 S. Tacoma Way:

The Alonzo's eldest son is a good friend of mine. Although my friends and I are also are glad that no lives were lost, we are saddened at this incident even happened at all. To show our love and support for the Alonzo family we are putting together a fundraising event next Friday, the 15th of February, at the former South Park Community Center.

I checked out the event's Facebook page, which describes the event as a 90-minute Zumba party. For those who don't what Zumba is, check this out.

For those who can't make it, organizers are also accepting online payments via PayPal.

Five people were sent to area hospitals after a man drove into the Lakewood store Jan. 31.
