House Fire: Residents Are Safely Evacuated
Fire crews respond to smoke coming from a house attic.
A family safely evacuated from their home with no injuries at the 9000 block of Maple Avenue after reports of a fire in their attic this morning, according to a West Pierce Fire & Rescue press release.
Those calling 911 said they could see smoke coming from the roof. Lakewood and University Place fire crews arrived and the fire was under control in about 10 minutes, the press release stated.
The cause of this fire is currently under investigation.
