A fire in a first-floor apartment left people in 12 units displaced Friday.
No injuries were reported. West Pierce Fire & Rescue arrived at the apartment at 7252 150th St. SW and found the unit fully involved.
West Pierce spokeswoman Hallie McCurdy said crews were able to extinguish the blaze quickly using tank water from a fire engine. Although the unit, as well as the unit above were damaged, crews were able to save the two on either side.
However, because rescue crews had to cut off power, people in 12 units were temporarily displaced. The Red Cross is assisting them.
