Police are still looking to identify the shooter, who wounded a man in the leg on Saturday. Both the shooter and victom were armed, police said.
Lakewood Police are investigating a possible gang-related shooting on Saturday, July 23. Several gun shots were fired, and one man was injured in the vicinity of 96th and Bridgeport Way, according to Lakewood Police Lt. Dave Guttu.
Guttu said the injured man, who was wounded in the leg, also was carrying a gun. While the nature of the aggravated assault is not clear, gang-related taunts were exchanged and items from a nearby yard sale were thrown at each other prior to the shooting, police said.
Local authorities said four men arrived at the location and confronted the individual on Saturday at about 7:30 p.m. A member of the group was carrying a handgun in his waistband, Guttu said.
