Mustaches Come Off At West Pierce

The firefighters had grown their lovely locks of lip hair in November to raise money for Movember, which is intended to raise awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and other conditions that affect men.

The upper lips of more than 30 West Pierce Fire & Rescue firefighters started to feel a tad cooler shortly after 9 a.m., today.

That's because the guys over at the fire department that covers University Place and Lakewood threw a mustache-shaving party (if there is such a thing) as a sign of their hairy triumph to raise awareness for "Movember."

The guys grew their mustaches in November to help raise money and bring awareness to testicular cancer, prostate cancer and other conditions that affect men. Firefighters, in particular, are susceptible to such conditions because of the daily conditions and hazards of their jobs.

These pictures, which came courtesy of West Pierce, are evidence of the hairy hullabaloo that took place today. Heck, even the ladies of West Pierce got into the act. (Sort of)

The result? Grown men with faces as soft and smooth as a baby's behind. Great job guys.

Only problem? I think you guys missed a few spots.
