Here are some photos from the motorcade conveying Washington State Trooper s body from the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office to Mountain View funeral home in Lakewood on Friday.
The 44-year-old trooper was shot and later died during a routine traffic stop Thursday morning on Highway 16 near Port Orchard. The suspected gunman, Joshua Jearl Blake, shot himself and died Thursday afternoon.
Local residents Jason Leach and his family Cathy and Garrett Whitbeck paid respects as they watched the escort in the cold and rainy weather conditions.
"It makes me feel good I can do this," Leach said.
