Police Seeking Community's Help to Identify Purse Thief

The woman in the photo has stolen purses from various stores in Federal Way, Gig Harbor, Bonney Lake, Lakewood and Lacey over the past 3-4 years, according to Gig Harbor Police.

The Gig Harbor Police Department is trying to identify a woman in connection to numerous thefts in the South Sound area.

The woman has been dubbed "The Purse Lady" by businesses who have been victimized by her. 

Police say the Purse Lady has stolen purses from various stores in Federal Way, Gig Harbor, Bonney Lake, Lakewood and Lacey over the past 3-4 years. 

The Purse Lady is a Native American female, approximately 5' 6", weighing approximately 190 pounds. She often wears her long, dark hair in a pony tail.
