Queens Closet Owner Provides Update On Crash Victims, Thanks Those Who Helped At Scene

Owner Sandra Alonzo says she's grateful the incident - which occurred last week when a driver crashed through the Lakewood store - wasn't worse.

Here's an update on last week's crash at Queens Closet, when five people were sent to area hospitals after a man drove into the Lakewood store.

Owner Sandra Alonzo told Lakewood-JBLM Patch that all but one person has been released from the hospital. One of the victims remains in stable condition at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Tacoma, she said.

She also wanted to thank many of the first responders and volunteers who acted quickly after the crash:

Thanks to all the firefighters, police and ambulance/paramedics.  Special thanks to the manager and staff of neighboring business  Underwater Sports, who were on the scene immediately, helping my husband to provide first aid to (the) injured until others arrived and then took over.

We are so grateful, and thank God it wasn't worse and there was no loss of life.
