The King County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that skeletal remains discovered near Tacoma belong to a Lakewood man who has been missing since last year.

Faatoaga Tavita Ufuti, 39, had been missing since March 12, 2012, when Utufi's wife contacted authorities to report her husband missing.

She told authorities that it's unusal for Faatoaga to leave and not call her. She assumed that Faatoaga had gone to the store when she woke up and he wasn't home. Ufuti's vehicle was found abandoned in the Federal Way area.
