Shots Fired: Three Suspects Booked on Criminal Charges Including Drive-By Shooting in Lakewood

Details are unclear but Lakewood Police Lt. Chris Lawler said an officer viewed someone firing shots out of a vehicle at the 7400 block of Bridgeport Way SW near Walmart Tuesday night. Check back later for more information as it becomes available.

Three suspects were booked into Pierce County Jail Tuesday night on criminal charges including drive-by shooting after a Lakewood Police officer viewed someone firing shots out of a vehicle Tuesday night at the 7400 block of Bridgeport Way SW, according to Police Lt. Chris Lawler.

Authorities initiated a high-risk stop near , Lawler said. The officers conducted a felony stop on the car, which means they had their guns drawn, according to the Tacoma News Tribune. Patch received a tip from a driver that a portion of Bridgeport Way SW was blocked off.

A loaded gun was located in the vehicle and shell casings were found on the street where police believe the shooting occurred, Lawler said, adding there were no persons hit or property struck by the gunfire.

Lakewood Police said they did not arrest the fourth suspect found inside the vehicle.
