UP A TREE: Vote To Help Get A Cat Out Of A Tree

A neighbor is reporting that a cat has been stuck since Saturday.

A kitty needs your help, Patch users.

User Sharon Bosser e-mailed Patch today saying that a kitty (pictured above) has been stuck in a tree near Willowood Place Southwest in Lakewood, off Hipkins and Angle Road, near the off-leash dog park since the weekend:

Anyone know of volunteer tree climbers that go up tall trees to save cats?!! There has been a cat up a neighbor's backyard tree since at least Sat. afternoon (14th) ... Animal control and also Lakewood Fire Department have been helpful but coaxing, putting out food, leaving it totally alone each night, etc. has not helped. This is a very tall pine tree. We thought late yesterday it was down, but I went out just now and discovered it is still up the tree....poor kitty!!

Since Saturday, it looks like the kitty has climbed another 20 feet or so. "We just feel so bad for this cat and don't know what else to do! Does not belong to any near neighbors of ours, might be from the street behind us."

Sharon, Patch is here to help. While we might not be the best climbers, we sure can encourage someone to do so. In that vein, let's put our heads together and figure out, via the following poll, how authorities can bring this feline to safety.

Of course, in all seriousness, if anyone has any legitimate ideas on how to get this down safely, let us know in the comments.
