West Pierce's Vose Nominated For Governor's Volunteer Service Award

is proud to announce that Judi Vose has been nominated to receive the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award. Judi will join other volunteers from throughout the state on April 23rd when Governor Gregoire will recognize extraordinary individuals who affect real change in their communities through volunteer service.

Judi Vose joined the West Pierce Fire & Rescue Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) in 2010. She has supported the program and her community by becoming a Team Leader and CERT advisor for the Tillicum area. In this role, Judi has contacted her fellow CERT members, predetermining a coordinated response in the event of a disaster as well as promoting personal preparedness with her neighbors. Judi regularly attends CERT advisor meetings and training events, and has volunteered at the CERT informational booth at numerous community events.  She often participates in CERT practice drills both locally and statewide.  Judi holds a strong conviction of the importance of serving her community. In the past she volunteered for the state patrol and is currently active in her church community.
