10th Congressional Candidate Dick Muri Gets Key Endorsements

The Washington State Farm Bureau and the Pierce County Corrections Guild say they're both supporting the Lakewood Republican.

Earlier this week, Pierce County Councilman got word that he gained endorsements from two major organizations.  The Washington State Farm Bureau and the Pierce County Corrections Guild have both decided that electing a principled conservative like Dick Muri is the best way to improve not just Washington’s New 10th Congressional District, but the nation as a whole.

The Washington State Farm Bureau’s Political Action Committee chose to endorse Dick as the best choice for the 10th Congressional District.

The Pierce County Corrections Guild followed suit and awarded Dick Muri with one of their selective endorsements.  After speaking to the Guild in late March, it made the decision to fully endorse his candidacy.  These two organizations join dozens of elected officials, and other organizations including Combat Veterans for Congress and Human Life of Washington.

Dick Muri is running in the new 10th Congressional District—an open seat—in a district that heavily favors Pierce County, where he beat Congressman Adam Smith in 2010.  Muri has been a member of the Pierce County Council for seven years, serves as the Executive Pro Tem, and previously sat on the Steilacoom School Board.

He has been endorsed by key Republicans like retired Congressman Sid Morrison, Representatives JT Wilcox, Hans Zeiger and Jim McCune and nearly 100 local elected officials and Republican Precinct Committee Officers.

Dick and his wife Mary have four grown children and four grandchildren.
