2 State Liquor Stores In Lakewood Among Dozens to Close Next Week

List released of state-owned liquor stores scheduled to close between Monday and Thursday.

With private stores getting ready to enter to the liquor business in Washington, the state Liquor Control Board has released a schedule of several-dozen liquor stores that it will close next week.

The list - which covers the last remaining stores operated by the state - includes the two stores in Lakewood.

Next Tuesday, the state will close the store at 5700 100th St. S.W., Suite 470, and on Thursday, the at 8217 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W.

Other nearby locations include several in Tacoma and University Place:

Monday: 2627 N. Pearl St., Tacoma
Tuesday: 6820 19th Street West, University Place; 2805 Sixth Ave., Tacoma
