2nd Stryker Brigade to Welcome New Senior Enlisted Leader

The 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, will conduct a change of responsibility ceremony at the Lancer Field on North Fort Lewis, Thursday, April 25, at 10 a.m.

The 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, will conduct a change of responsibility ceremony at the Lancer Field on North Fort Lewis, Thursday, April 25, at 10 a.m.

The ceremony will signify the departure of Command Sgt. Maj. Andrew Connette, and welcome Command Sgt. Maj. Timothy Dotson to the Lancer command team.

The command sergeant major serves as the senior enlisted advisor to the commander, and is responsible for the overall discipline, enforcement of policies, and oversight of training for the entire unit. 

Dotson served as the Command Sergeant Major for the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, which is assigned to the Lancer Brigade. Dotson led the 1-17 Inf. during a nine-month deployment to Zharay district, Afghanistan.

Connette led the Lancer brigade for more than two years including a nine- month deployment to Kandahar province, Afghanistan.
