3-2 Stryker Brigade To Conduct Change Of Command Ceremony

Col. Charles Webster led more than 4,000 Soldiers for more than two years and recently returned from a 12-month deployment to Afghanistan. He will relinquish command of the Arrowhead Brigade to Col. Hugh Bair.

Col. Charles Webster, commander 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, will relinquish command of the Arrowhead Brigade to Col. Hugh Bair during a change of command ceremony, March 8, at Watkins Field on Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Webster led more than 4,000 Soldiers for more than two years as the Arrowhead commander and recently returned from a 12-month deployment to Afghanistan.

Bair’s most recent assignment was as the operations officer for the Army's Warrior Transition Command. Bair has deployed four times in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring, all with the 82nd Airborne Division, based in Fort Bragg, NC.

In addition to Bair, the brigade will also receive a new Command Sergeant Major as Command Sgt. Maj. Samuel Murphy changes responsibility with Command Sgt. Maj. Peter Smith.
