About half an hour after the 7-Eleven robbery, a Lakewood Police patrol officer spotted a silver vehicle on South Tacoma Way occupied by three men acting suspiciously, Lawler said. The vehicle matched the possible suspects' vehicle in the crime.

"The officer stopped the vehicle to investigate and sees a handgun in the door pocket when he has one of the males step out," Lawler said in the press release. "Also in plain view inside the vehicle is some property from the 7-Eleven robbery and three masks."
