Denny Heck Launches First Valentines For Veterans Drive

The office of the Washington Democrat will deliver donated cards to veterans at VA Puget Sound, American Lake Division on Valentine's Day.

Congressman Denny Heck has launched his first annual Valentines for Veterans Drive. Primary and elementary school students from around the South Sound are encouraged to decorate cards thanking our local veterans for their service to our country. The Congressman’s office will deliver the cards to local veterans at the VA Puget Sound, American Lake Division on Valentine’s Day.

Local schools are encouraged to incorporate the Valentines for Vets Drive into their regular art curriculum. Students of all grade levels and ages are welcome to participate. So far more than a dozen schools in the South Sound have signed on to participate:

Anyone wishing to participate can drop off Valentine’s Day cards at Congressman Heck’s Thurston/Mason County District Office between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday, prior to or on February 13th.
