Lakewood City Manager Andrew Neiditz Unable To Secure Tacoma's Top City Job
After heavy deliberation, the Tacoma City Council unanimously voted in T.C. Broadnax of San Antonio, Texas. Neiditz was one of three finalists for the city manager position.
After long and careful deliberation Tuesday evening at the Tacoma City Council meeting, elected officials selected T.C. Broadnax of San Antonio, Texas, to lead Lakewood's neighbor city of 200,000.
Broadnax's experience as a budget officer, according to testimonies by multiple council members, prevailed against current Lakewood City Manager Andrew Neiditz and Tacoma's interim city manager Rey Arellano.
"We need a fresh set of eyes relative to our fiscal house," said Councilmember Jake Fey.
