Lakewood Welcomes Its New City Manager Tuesday Night

John Caulfield will officially be sworn in as the third city manager in Lakewood's history.

The City of Lakewood will officially welcome its new city manager Tuesday night.

John Caulfield, who city leaders hired for the position in June, will be sworn in during the Lakewood City Council meeting, becoming the third city manager in Lakewood's 17-year-old history.

It is somewhat of a homecoming for Caulfield, who was deputy city manager in University Place before becoming city manager for Mountlake Terrace, and he held various finance positions at the City of Federal Way. He is a graduate of Boston University and Seattle University.

Caulfield was first introduced to the Lakewood community over twenty years ago while serving with the Army’s 2-75th Ranger Battalion at was then-Fort Lewis.
