THIS CAMPAIGN:

What is the primary reason you are running for this office? Our children and our children’s children are our most important priority and responsibility. As your Director, I am committed to ensuring that all of our children have access and the opportunity to gain the life’s skills necessary to enable them to succeed in our community, nation and world. I will do my very best to make the school board work for you. I will accomplish this by approving a budget with effective spending, promoting policies to improve educational opportunities, and working with the superintendent to enhance teacher accountability. I will communicate with citizens, school employees, students and fellow board members to explore options to make Clover Park School District exceed expectations. We have often referred to school as the three “R’s”, reading, writing, and arithmetic. In reality, it is the seven “R’s”, which include respect, reverence, reasoning, and responsibility. If we as parents, community leaders and school board directors encourage our students to master the seven “R’s” they will succeed and will be prepared for the future. As your Director, I promise to put students first. I ask for your trust, support and vote. Thank you.

What will be your top three priorities if you get elected and why?

  1. BETTER COMMUNICATION. I believe communication between parents, teachers, district staff, students and fellow School Board members is the key to helping Clover Park School District provide the best education possible.
  2. EFFECTIVE SPENDING. The Clover Park School District spends $11,600 annually per student. I am dedicated to ensuring this money is managed and spent efficiently to maximize the benefits to Clover Park students, citizens and tax payers.
  3. While Clover Park students consistently out pace other school districts in test results and graduation rates, I believe we can do better. I will work to improve student achievement in our district.

What sets you apart from the other candidates and/or previous office holders? Values – Personal and Educational
Vision – Restoring the American Dream through Education
Passion – To see our community improve through our student’s successes.

How much money do you expect your campaign to spend on this election? $500
