HORNET WARNING. JBLM received a report from a woman who was attacked by hornets yesterday while walking with her dogs on the McKay Marsh Trail -- which is n the trees across from the Lewis Army Museum.

Many people frequent this trail on the weekend; we recommend people avoid this trail area for now: the hornets are apparently being unusually aggressive. Unfortunately, due to the govt. shutdown we do not have personnel/resources available to check this out, or to put warning signs up in the area.

Thank you to the person who brought this to our attention.
